Match Point – Hra osudu je drama o společenském vzestupu mladého muže a děsivých následcích jeho ctižádosti. Hlavní hrdina se nedokáže rozhodnout mezi dvěma ženami a nenachází cestu ven. Uchýlí se tedy k extrémnímu řešení. Děj filmu zasadil režisér Woody Allen do anglické vyšší společnosti. Scarlett Johanssonová zde hraje krásnou americkou dívku, která vstoupí mezi Jonathana Rhys Meyerse a jeho ženu Emily Mortimerovou. Matthew Goode je Emilyn bohatý bratr, který tuto zápletku odstartuje.
