Der Hacker Drew Reynolds (Sam Huntington) wird vom CIA gefasst und vor die Wahl gestellt: Entweder er arbeitet für sie und unterstützt sie bei ihren Ermittlungen oder er wandert für den Rest seines Lebens hinter Gitter. Drew willigt ein und will fortan fürs CIA arbeiten. Er hat nur eine Bedingung: Er möchte sein Team, genannt: The Throwaways, selbst zusammenstellen.
