Übersicht
Die Leitung des Münchener Hauptkommissariats wechselt im Lauf der Jahrzehnte, doch eines bleibt immer gleich: Die Scharfsinnigkeit und mitunter Griesgrämigkeit des Leiters, der von allen nur `Der Alte' genannt wird. Es ermitteln Erwin Köster, Leo Kress, Rolf Herzog und Richard Voss, die jeweils in die Rolle des Kriminalhauptkommissars schlüpfen. Die spannungsgeladenen Fälle spielen sich in und um München ab.
