Trama
Per scoprire l'assassino di sua moglie, il trombettista jazz Tom Van Allen decide di condurre da solo le indagini nei bassifondi della città. Cambia identità, diventa amico di un pesce piccolo della malavita, Jimmy the Finn, e attira l'attenzione di due sbirri che vorrebbero ripulire da cima a fondo il quartiere.
