Trama
Innamoratosi di un bel tenentino, Calamity Jane vuole imparare a essere più femminile. Lui le preferisce una bella cantante e Jane capisce che l'uomo per lei è Wild Bill Hickok. Divertente western pieno di canzoni ("Secret Love" prese l'Oscar), con una Day buffa e scatenata. Poco da spartire con la vera vita di Annie Oakley, rievocata da Betty Hutton in Anna prendi il fucile (1950).
