Trama
Il film è ambientato nel 1987 e racconta la storia dell'autista di autobus scozzese George Lennox e della rifugiata nicaraguense Carla. Alla ricerca del suo passato e del suo ex fidanzato i due lasciano Glasgow e vanno nel Nicaragua insanguinato dal conflitto tra il governo sandinista ed i Contras.
