Trama
Il vecchio Alvin Straight ne ha viste davvero tante, negli anni trascorsi sulla strada e in quelli passati sul prato di casa e nel drugstore dietro l'angolo. Un giorno prende il tagliaerba e parte, attraversa a passo di lumaca strade, campi di mais, cieli, il Mississippi per riconciliarsi con il fratello che non vede da troppo tempo.
