概要
第2次大戦末期、ナチスのオカルト結社は怪僧ラスプーチンの指揮の下、地上に地獄をもたらすラグナロク計画を実行。だがそこを米軍が急襲。ラスプーチンが地獄の門へ飲み込まれるとともに、真っ赤な異形の赤ん坊が残される。科学者ブルーム博士に引き取られたその悪魔の子は、やがてヘルボーイと名付けられ、極秘機関《超常現象調査防衛局》のエージェントになる。そして現代。オカルト結社の残党はラグナロク計画の完遂を目指す。
