概要
人間を凶暴な捕食者に変異させる新型狂犬病によって、世界は崩壊。生存者たちは、感染者（＝インフェクテッド）の襲撃を逃れるため、軍により保護された核貯蔵の地下施設で生活していた。感染者と意思疎通ができる特殊な能力を持つモーガンとローズ博士が率いる研究チームは、感染者“第1号”を見つけ、元の人間に戻す治療法を探る。必死の研究に挑む彼らだが、軍が捕獲した感染者の体内に発信機が仕掛けられていたことで、突如インフェクテッドの大群が地下施設へと雪崩れ込んできて...。
