概要
マーヴィン・ゲイ、スティーヴィー・ワンダー、ジャクソン・ファイブ、スモーキー・ロビンソン＆ミラクルズをはじめ、錚々たる有名アーティストを輩出し、数え切れないほどの名曲をヒットチャートに送り込んだモータウン・レーベル。その黄金期を支え、“モータウン・サウンド”を確立したのがレコーディング・バンド“ファンク・ブラザース”だった。しかしレコードに演奏者をクレジットする習慣のなかった60年代当時、彼らの名前が一般に知られることはなく、彼らの偉業が顧みられることはなかった。本作は、そんな彼らの偉大な足跡を、貴重な当時のインタビューや演奏シーンなどを基に振り返る。
