概要
紀元前1万年の地球。狩猟部族の青年デレーはかつて父が村を抜けて姿を消したことに劣等感を抱いていた。あるとき、彼はマンモスをひとりで倒したとして若きリーダーに選ばれるが、実は獲物が勝手に自滅したという事実を隠せずに辞退してしまう。そんなある日、村が謎の部族に襲撃され、多くの村人や女たちが奴隷としてさらわれてしまう。その中に恋人エバレットがいることを知ったデレーは仲間とともに必死に後を追う。
