Overzicht
Lina McLaidlaw ontmoet Johnnie Aysgarth en wordt al snel verliefd op hem. Ze trouwen, maar het wordt Lina nooit duidelijk waar Johnnie zijn geld vandaan haalt. Omdat hij bovendien een vreemde interesse heeft voor vergiften, krijgt Lina haar bedenkingen over Johnnie's karakter.
