Jerry Seinfeld, stand-up comedian. Na jarenlang de hoofdrol gespeeld te hebben in één van de meest succesvolle komedieseries aller tijden besluit hij om weer het theater in te gaan met zijn stand-up act. Hiervoor zal hij echter allemaal nieuw materiaal moeten schrijven. En het schrijven blijkt hem niet zo gemakkelijk meer af te gaan.
