Mijn grootvader was geboren in Tabasco en vocht met Pancho Villa. Hij werd Master Mason, driemaal plaatsvervanger voor Oaxaca en voorzitter van de National Association of Charros. In 1942 vormde hij “The Legion of Mexican Guerrillas”, een groep van 100.000 charros die trainden om een mogelijke nazi-invasie van Mexico af te weren. Het succesverhaal dat ze over hem vertelden, herbergde een geheim dat mijn familie raakte en dat werd ontdekt tijdens het maken van deze documentaire.
