Ondanks alle waarschuwingen het speelgoed niet aan te raken maken Max en zijn twee beste vrienden na een feestje per ongeluk een drone stuk. Hierop besluiten ze een vervanging te regelen. Ze laten hun schoollessen voor wat het is en gaan naar de San Fernando Valley waar ze, alweer, foute beslissingen maken. Al snel worden gestolen drugs en politie deel van hun reis.
