Overzicht
Na talloze mislukte zelfmoordpogingen komt onze held (Lloyd) een advocaat tegen die op zoek is naar een stroman die als bruidegom kan optreden om een erfenis voor zijn cliënt (Davis) veilig te stellen. De erfenis is een huis waar haar sluwe oom 'rondspookt' zodat hij ze kan afschrikken en het bezit kan opeisen.
