Oversikt
I den lille byen Rockwell bor den ni år gamle gutten Hogarth Hughes sammen med sin mor Annie. Etter et voldsomt uvær påstår en lokal fisker at han så en kjemperobot reise seg ute i havet .Han sporer opp roboten og får en kjempestor venn, men også noen få problemer. Hvordan skal han holde roboten skjult og hvordan skal han redde sin nye venn - ja faktisk hele sin hjemby?
