Opis
Na film składa się pięć powiązanych ze sobą historii, traktujących o kobietach i ich problemach życiowych. Pierwsza z nich ukazuje nam życie doktor Keener, która szuka odpowiedzi w kartach tarota. Druga dotyczy Rebeki, stawiającej czoła wiadomości o nieplanowanej ciąży. Trzecia historia opowiada o samotnej matce, z piętnastoletnim synem, która nawiązuje znajomość z nowym sąsiadem. Czwarta z nich stanowi krótki obraz na parę lesbijek, z których jedna umiera na raka, a druga się nią opiekuje. Ostatnia historia dotyczy dwóch sióstr mieszkających razem. Kathy policjantka prowadzi śledztwo w sprawie samobójstwa samotnej kobiety. Samotnej jak ona sama.
