Griskultingen Wilbur är för bra för att sluta som bacon, men det är det ingen som förstår utom den lilla flickan Fanny.En dag träffar Wilbur spindeln Charlotte, som blir hans vän. Med tiden blir alla djuren på gården vänner. När de andra djuren får höra att Wilburs dagar är räknade bestämmer sig Charlotte för att göra allt för att rädda sin vän.
