简介
养尊处优的富家公子阿尔弗莱德·巴特勒（巴斯特·基顿饰）被父亲勒令到山里打猎钓鱼，想要他锻炼得更像个男子汉。巴特勒既没能打到一个猎物也没能钓上一条鱼，却在山里结识了心爱的女孩（萨丽·奥尼尔饰）。女孩的父亲和兄长嫌弃他过于瘦弱拒绝了求婚请求，巴特勒只好冒充成同名同姓的拳击冠军“战将”巴特勒。在一连串的误会后，巴特勒不得不准备登上擂台迎战绰号“亚拉巴马谋杀犯”的拳击手……
